On the 4th of July, P0sixninja and MuscleNerd got into a rather bitter argument over Twitter about P0sixninja's progress on discovering and developing a Bootrom jailbreak for A5, A5X, A6, and A6X Devices. Recently MuscleNerd and P0sixninja have been an intense debate over the possibility of a Bootrom Exploit and the Legitimacy of P0sizninjas progress on creating one. It all built up to this awesome moment where two iDevice hackers gave there two sense to one another, all over Twitter, letting the world read exactly how they feel about each other. See the full conversation and how it all started in this article!
Rumors and Facts revolving around P0sixninja's Recent Tweets.
Recently, P0sixninja (former leader of the Chronic Dev Team) has been "working" on a finding an iOS 7 exploit since around May 30th letting us know by tweeting "Just gotta finish up codesign exploit now, and iOS 7 is mine. Muwhahaha :-P" At this point in time, he was far, and still may be far off from completing an iOS 7 Bootrom jailbreak. This tweet however at least did hint that P0sixninja would be pursuing his efforts to ensure a jailbreak for iOS 7.Furthermore P0sixninja has sent little tweets, here and there, discussing his progress on discovering a Bootrom jailbreak. For example he sent of a quick video that demonstrated a kernel exploit which caused a kernel panic when executed. Also other tweets between him and @dent1zt reveal that they have discovered not 1, but three vulnerabilities for future jailbreak utilities. Additionally with all these tweets, P0sixninja also tweeted "redsn0w sucks! I wish someone would make something better." Redsn0w was the original, and currently only Bootrom jailbreak, which P0sixninja is proclaiming to create a newer version of.
Sounds all good right? Well heres were it gets interesting. All this talk of "Big things to happen" leads one to wonder, is P0sixninja being compleatly honest and/or realistic with his findings? Who will be the one to challenge his legicimacy?
MuscleNerd (Currently one of the "Evaders" as well as the unofficial leader of the iPhone Dev Team) stood up to this challenge, as these two argued over Twitter in a somewhat immature fashion. Lets take a look.
