Downgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 6 Tutorial
When Downgrading iOS 6.1.4, simply clicking the "Restore" button may lead to an error such as the one below. To avoid this, Follow these 4 simple steps to downgrade back to iOS 6.1.4:
Step 1: Download a iOS 6.1.4 iPSW file from a third party website. Due to apples Copy-Write laws, we can not host any iPSW files here, but they can be found with a simple google search. Make sure to download the correct file for your iDevice.
Step 2: Once iOS 6 is downloaded, open iTunes, connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch into your computer and navigate to your iDevice.
Step 3: Once here, hold "shift" and click on the restore button. Now Simply locate your iOS 6.1.4 iPSW file that you downloaded, and click restore.
Note* For all you iCloud users out there, you must turn off "Find my iPhone" before restoring or iTunes will prompt you with an error, telling you to do so.
Step 4: Your iDevice will now restore to iOS 6.1.4. The last step is to restore from a backup. Unfortunately, if you restored your iDevice backup to the iOS 7 OS you will not be able to restore that backup to iOS 6.1.4. You may check if there is an older backup, or possibly an iCloud Backup that was not restored to iOS 7. This will be useful to recover as much data as possible. If no luck, your stuck setting up your iPhone as a new Phone. (Or as a new iDevice)
